Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Initiative
The Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Initiative at Rainbow Babies & Children's main objective is to not only to raise awareness, but help advance the development of new and needed approaches to the treatment and prevention of adolescent and young adult’s cancer. More than 70,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer every year, yet strides in cancer treatment have generally bypassed young adults between the ages of 15-30. The AYA Initiative is committed to building upon our past successes through partnership and collaboration. To improve the nation’s overall participation in the clinical trials process and ultimately provide better outcomes for young adults with cancer this philosophy is a necessity.
AYA Mission: To Heal. To Teach. To Discover.
